The Department of Microbiology focuses on emerging challenges facing in related to Microbiology field. The department offers M.Sc and M.Phil degree courses in Microbiology. Doctoral programme (Ph.D.) is also being offered in the department. The department is undertaking research projects in the field of Microbiology and received funds from various Indian government funding agencies. The students may join in the department with the intention to obtain M.Sc, M.Phil or Ph.D. or both degrees.

Facilities

Research Facility is the supreme need in any academic institution to provide scientific and technical services for supporting research carried out by PG, M.Phil and PhD students.` Such facilities represents a key commitment for preserving and raising the efficiency of research to top international standards.

We have well experienced staff members with well established microbiology lab, 24 x 7 internet, Wi-Fi network and smart class room facility. Students will be provided with computer, LCD, smart interactive board for their presentation. Many department level clubs such as nature club, woman’s health club, student seminar club, journal club and cultural club are available for enriching the student confident, willing and able to take on academic, professional and personal challenges.
