Perspective Plans

One Year Plan (2024-2025)


  • Renovation of all the campuses before the submission of Self Study Report (SSR) for NAAC 4th cycle accreditation process.
  • Establishment of a Centre for Interdisciplinary Research.
  • Purchase of high-end Research equipment for common utility purposes among the State Universities besides the existing Research Equipment
  • Introduction of Digitalization administrative related works.
  • Introduction of online Examinations (Proctored mode)
  • Establishment of Parents Teachers Association (PTA)
  • Establishment of Book Bank Scheme for the benefit of the underprivileged students by collecting used books from the donors (Staff members / Alumni / Other Stakeholders of the University / Public)

Two to Three Years Plan (2025-2027)


  • Initiation of putting effort to increase University h-Index from 114 to 145.
  • Initiation of steps to encourage more Translational Research
  • Initiatives for generation of funds by commercializing patents and consultancy work.
  • Establishment of Business Incubation Centre with Separate Building.
  • Establishment of a full-fledged storage hub at Thondi Sea Shore to process and an export sea food pave a way for the Societal Economic Upliftment and generates revenue to the University.
  • Construction of a new Administrative Building with a separate Meeting Hall for organizing the meetings of the Syndicate / Senate / Standing Committee on Academic Affairs / Planning Board, etc., with provision for a Dining Hall.
  • Establishment of a Technology Park to encourage entrepreneurship skill among students.
  • Construction of a separate block for Central valuation.
  • Rising the funds of PTA by attracting donations from the Parents
  • Increase the Other State and NRI admission by providing stipends to them

Five-Year Plan (2024-2029)


  • Introduction of new programmes such as Archaeology and Epigraphy, Computational Biology, Cell Sciences and Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Education Technology and Cognitive Sciences which was emphasized earlier in the Planning Board meeting.
  • Initiation of steps to make the University as full-fledged Solar Campus.
  • Construction of a separate multi-purpose auditorium having a capacity of 1500 (with furniture and other infrastructural facilities).
  • Initiate action plans for attaining the status of “World Class University” within 500 among the QS Ranking Universities by 2029.
  • Creating super computing facilities which will be utilized by the Departments and Administration.
  • Construction of buildings for the newly created departments.
  • Initiation of steps to offer fee waiver from the Alumni and PTA funds.
