The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Alagappa University, was established on March 12, 2005, as per the guidelines of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Alagappa University was accredited with A+ grade by NAAC (CGPA: 3.64) in the Third Cycle. The prime objective of the IQAC, Alagappa University, is to devise a mechanism for conscious, consistent and catalytic efforts to enhance the academic and administrative accomplishments of the institution. The IQAC of Alagappa University, since its inception, has been perpetually and actively participating in quality sustenance and enhancement activities.
Some of the functions of the IQAC are:
Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices. To review the Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters periodically for various academic and administrative activities of the institution. Development of quality culture in the Institution and facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process. Assessment of feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes. Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
