Alagappa Alumni Eco Park was established on 6th April, 2024 by the University in the Campus near Ponnagar / Karaikudi Railway Station with the support of Donations / contributions from the ALUMNI of Alagappa University. Elders and children are the main visitors of this garden.
The Alumni Eco Park with a unique herbal garden, endangered species and all amenities worth Rs.1.2 crore caters to the needs of our students and the general public was declared open by our notable alumnus Prof. Jagadeesan, Former Vice-Chancellor, Bharadhidasan University who contributed Rs.4 Lakh Rupees to set up the Alumni Eco Park. The alumni of the Department of Banking Management viz...Mr.H.Sudarsan and Mr.K.Prem Ananth generously donated Rs.1Lakh each towards this cause.
This Garden is open for the use of public daily (all 7 days in a week) in the evening hours (5pm-9pm).
