Potable Water Treatment Plant (RO)

Reverse-Osmosis (RO) Treatment plant has been commissioned in the campus since 2005. Ground water is used as source. RO treated drinking water is generated and transported through tractor equipped with tank and supplied FREE daily to all Academic buildings, Admin buildings, Hostels etc for the use of ALL members in the campus. This is one of the BEST PRACTICES of the University.

In the University campus, two large - sized overhead tanks, having the capacity of one lakh litres each, are functioning to meet our water requirements. Besides, 184 water storage devices (up to 10000 Lt. capacity) have been provided to store water. Three R.O. systems (Mineral Water Plants) are functioning each in the Administrative Block, Science campus and Thondi campus. Recycling water plant at Thondi campus is functioning well to cater to the needs of students. The University is having good water resources on the campuses, the water supply system is functioning effectively in all places.
