UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) enables education and research partnership between the UK and India to help achieve the knowledge ambitions of both countries. The programme drives internationalisation in higher education sectors of both the countries, by focusing on institutional partnerships (for research and academics), student mobility, and leadership development. British Council, the UK's international arm for cultural relations and educational opportunities, is the programme secretariat, and is responsible for delivering it with Indian partners in the country. Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD, Government of India) has entrusted the implementation of HELD Programme for Administrators.The programme focuses on inculcating leadership skills in mid and senior level academic administrators across Universities in India.
